The artist Peter Lang, who abstracts his motives by applying pigments in parallel layers on canvas, further developed his painting technique into a sculptural one, through additive manufacturing together with the additive tectonics GmbH.

For the 92 cm high work of art, Lang created 46 analog layer drawings measuring 3 by 6 meters over the course of six months. While drawing, the artist was given technical advice in order to comply with the relevant acoustic and production parameters.

With the help of scanning and a neural network algorithm, a 60 kilometer long robot path was created without overlapping, knots or jumps. During the two-month production phase, the artist painted in 3D using the interactive coloring of the print. Only natural materials such as lignin, natural resins, natural fibers and beer as binder were used.
