Through a set of experiments, we developed diverse coating strategies concerned with the metallization of self‐similar but chaotic elements aiming towards a regular metal coating that acts as the load-bearing layer.
Two different strategies are investigated: while the first strategy is using aluminum wire arc spraying on a polymer substrate, the second applies supersonic aluminum/copper spraying on a thin aluminum shell.

Technology: | Wire-Arc/Supersonic Spraying |
Application: | Reinforcement |
Goal: | We created multiple sprayed metal coating that acts as the load-bearing layer on complex geometries. |
